Together is built for two. We collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and what you share with your partner is your choice.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Together ("we", "our", or "us") collects when you use our iOS app, our Android app, or our website, how we use it, and your rights over that data.
Together is operated by Chewbacca Dev, based in Croatia. You can reach us at support@together-app.co.
1. Information We Collect

- Name and email address when you sign up with email
- Name and email address from Apple or Google when you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google

Profile information
- Your city and approximate coordinates, used to show your partner your location and the distance between you
- Profile photo (optional)
- Your timezone and preferred language
Content you create
- Mood check-ins (your selected mood, emoji, and any note)
- Countdowns, memories and timeline entries, and their photos
- Bucket list items, boards, and their photos
- Doodles and their captions, including doodles scheduled to send later, and reactions to them
- Daily Challenge answers - text, choices, numbers, drawings and photos
- Notes, their photos, and the categories you file them under
- Nudges you send your partner
Device and technical information

- Platform, app version, and the dates you were active, used to keep the app working and to understand which features are used
- Crash and error diagnostics
Purchase information
- Your subscription status, plan, and renewal dates
- For purchases made on our website, your billing country and the details needed to issue an invoice. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To connect you with your partner and show shared content to you both
- To send notifications you have opted into
- To process and restore premium subscriptions
- To issue invoices and meet our tax obligations for purchases made on our website
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and understand which features people use
- To answer your support requests
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not build advertising profiles.
3. What Your Partner Can See
Together is designed for two people. Once you are connected, your partner can see:
- Your name, profile photo, city and approximate location
- Your mood check-ins
- Countdowns, memories, timeline entries, bucket list items and boards
- Doodles you send them, and any reactions
- Your Daily Challenge answers, once you have both answered that day
- Your battery level, only if you turn on battery sharing in Settings
Notes are private by default. A private note is visible only to you. You can choose to share an individual note, and a shared note can be read and edited by your partner. Only the person who created a note can delete it or change it back to private. Notes you have never shared stay private to you.
If you and your partner disconnect, you each keep your own account and the content that belongs to you.
4. How Your Content Is Stored and Who Can Access It
Your content is stored on our servers and on our image storage provider. It is encrypted in transit and at rest by our hosting providers, but it is not end-to-end encrypted: that means we are technically able to access it.
A small number of people working on Together can access account and content data through an internal support console. We use it to investigate problems, answer support requests, and keep the service running - not to browse your content. Every administrative change made through it is recorded in an audit log.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of providers to run Together:
- Apple - Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, and push notifications (APNs)
- Google - Sign in with Google, Google Play payments, and Firebase (push delivery, crash reporting and analytics)
- RevenueCat - subscription management across platforms. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe - payment processing for purchases made on our website. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- SOLO - invoicing for purchases made on our website, as required by Croatian law
- Cloudflare - storage and delivery of the images you upload
- Sentry - error and crash diagnostics
- Google Analytics - aggregate usage statistics
- Our email provider - to send account emails such as verification and password resets
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their marketing purposes.
6. Data Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS)
- Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text
- Authentication uses short-lived access tokens and refresh tokens that can be revoked
- On iOS, tokens are stored in the system Keychain; on Android, in encrypted storage; on the website, in your browser's local storage
No service can promise perfect security, but we try to collect as little as possible and protect what we hold.
7. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, it is immediately deactivated and disconnected from your partner, and your personal data and content are permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Invoices for purchases made on our website are kept for as long as tax law requires, even after your account is deleted.
To delete your account, use Delete Account in the app's Settings, or email support@together-app.co.
8. Children's Privacy
Together is not intended for children. You must be at least 16 years old to use Together, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that age is lower. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, email support@together-app.co.
If you are in the European Union, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top, and we'll tell you in the app if the change is significant.
